Addendum: Sue "Canoe" MacIsaac has asked be to pass on the very sad news that Wayne McCann had tragically passed away back in 2011 at the age of 44. She had seen his wife Tralee shortly after his passing. She had recently seen this pic on Instagram and has provided his obit link. Apparently he had a kid, had went back to school for Environmental Science but lost his battle with alcohol. So sad. Rest in peace. Nick Kovats

The last I saw Wayne...admittedly quite a few years ago...he was in school taking, and succeding, in a very challenging program. I want to say aeronautics or something along this line. I remember him being so excited with the challenge. I walked away with a giant smile on my face. Keith MacDonald

WAYNE It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Wayne William McCann. Taken from us too soon, Wayne died in St.Michael's Hospital with his family by his side on Friday, April 8, 2011. He was 44. Beloved husband to Tralee Reford McCann (teacher at St. John Catholic School). Proud and gentle father (Papa) of daughter Bronwyn. Also survived by his mother Ruth McCann; Sisters Florence (Doug), Diane (Brian) and Michelle (Terry); Brother Danny McCann (Shelley); Uncle to Jessica, Tyler, Karlee, Emily, Victoria, Elizabeth, Mercedes, Abigail and Charlotte. Predeceased by his father Daniel McCann.
Wayne was a lover of nature and science, near completion of a degree in Enviromental Science at the University of Toronto. Highly skilled in computer knowledge and a passion for photography, Wayne and his many talents will be so dearly missed. Family and friends will be received at the SHERRINFUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND TRIBUTE CENTRE, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (west of Victoria Park), on Friday, April 15, 2011 from 2-4p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 354 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1 p.m. Private Cremation.
