Nick Figearo was a longtime Seattle bike messenger who passed away
on July 18, 2015.
Nick's obituary:
Nick was 39 when he passed away at Carson Tahoe Hospital on July 18,
2015. Nick was born and raised in Carson City, NV leaving behind
many friends and relatives. He spent 17 years in Seattle, WA.
Working as a bike messenger for the legal community in that city. He
belonged to the Dead Baby Bike Club and from that experience, he had
many happy times, made a multitude of friends (which he called his
Seattle “family”). Many knew him by his nickname “Fingers”. He
returned to Carson City about two years ago. He was an avid
bicyclist, hiker, swimmer, any outdoor activity suited his
personality. His hobbies, first, were his art work, cooking,
crossword puzzles, Sodoku, dancing, comedy, and acting. He is
survived by his mom, Carol Figearo, father, Frank, brothers, Bart
and Kenny Jackson of Dayton, NV, sister Kim (Jackson) Weibl of
Palmer, Alaska, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and aunt Jeri
Patterson of Carson City. His loving, fun spirit lives on. There
will be a Celebration of Life sometime in the near future.
