Cycling Champion Bob McLeod Dies

Bob McLeod, an
all-round amateur cycling champion of the 1930’s died in Western
Hospital this morning following an operation. Funeral services will be
arranged later.
McLeod was
all-round Canadian amateur cycling titlist in 1933, British Empire
champion in 1934, and was a member of Canada’s 1936 Olympic team.
Note: McLeod
won a gold and a silver medal at the 1934 British Empire games as a 20
year-old telegraph messenger. He was only 44 when he died.
