Mercury Rising #6, April - July 1992
San Francisco: May 1992
let us trade grains of rice
we are brother, you and I
easy on the brain; treat me nice...
here's from my pile
you offer me... bile?
when I slaved for what I just
gave you
this wrong is my
rite of passion
in the streets outside the black
market hawkings the worn
hoardings around construction sites
fluttering flyers incite another outlaw
assembly in the soon to be night and fog
this line is drawn in the hands of time
the lute sound of looters ready to move
in for the thrill
the lighted match
a falling star
the spilled police
Harley
the bike messenger
playful Robin's
incendiary arrow - desire
god sent if hellbound
we're all going down to Market Street.
